A trip to the cardshop Empty A trip to the cardshop

Post by travishogsed Wed Sep 02, 2015 11:36 pm

It was early in the morning when the alarm clock beeped waking travis up. He wasn't one for morning but it was the life of being in high school. Travis would wake up and grab his pants off of the back of the chair. He would slip them on and then sit down in the chair pulling his deck out from the drew of his desk. He would go through it he needed some more cards, and he knew that his deck wasn't that strong yet. He was now in high school and the kids here was not only better at dueling but also had more money to buy packs. Travis would have to play smart at the rate his deck was at if he wanted to win a game of duel monsters. He had some money and he planed on going to the card shop today. It was sat so their wasn't any school today, and he would have time to go and look at the cards and spend the day their maybe even find someone to have a duel with. However he knew that if their was anyone at the card shop that he probably wouldn't be able to win the game with his current deck. Gaia the fierce knight was the strongest single card he had, and he knew that it wouldn't be enough to win a real game. Because the people that normally hang out at the card shops have pretty powerful decks, and is a given since they can afford to hang out at the card shops.

Travis set his deck on the desk making sure that it wouldn't fall over. Then he would get up and walk across the room to the closet grabbing his shirt out of it. It was just a normal white button down shirt that he always left untucked. He would then grab his belt off of the closet door knob and put it on stopping to slid his deck holster on the belt between the first and second belt loop. Travis would then walk over and sit back down in his chair and pull his shoes over to him. He would put his black boots on and slide his pants out from them so that they covered the tops of his boots. Travis would then stand up and grab his deck putting it in his deck holder, and closing the led so that the veil crow would stick and hold the lid shut. Travis would then walk over to his door and grab his black trench coat off the back of the door and throw it over his shoulder, as he walked down the stairs of his grandparents house to grab some breakfast before heading out. Travis would set down at the table, and his grandma would bring him over a bowl of cereal with milk. Travis would eat the cereal while thinking about what he wanted to do with his deck.

While he took bites out of his bowl of cereal travis thought about what he could do with his deck. He knew that he wanted to get his hands on a chaos sorcerer, but that wasn't an easy card to find, and he didn't know how many packs he would have to buy before finally getting one. Travis then focused on what he could do with the cards that he had, but the thing was is that he only had so many cards and he had all the good ones already in his deck. Travis would finish the bowl of cereal and get up walking the now empty bowl over to the sink and putting it in, and then running water into the bowl so that the left over milk didn't dry in the bowl. Travis would then pull his trench coat off of the back of the chair he as sitting in, and throw it over his shoulders putting it on. Travis liked the way the coat fit because it made him look like he was in better shape then he really was. Plus he thought he looked good in the trench coat with his white button down.

Travis would walk over to the door when his grandma would yell at him to have a good. Travis would yell to his grandma that he would try, and then open the door. It was a nice day outside a little bit chilly but not really cold, and he would be quit comfy with his trench coat. The sun was out though so it would probably warm up before the day was over. Plus he would be able to enjoy his way to the card shop to day. The card shop didn't close till late so travis would be in no hurry either. It would take travis about an hour to make it to the side of town with the card shop on it. Normally it would only take about half that time but travis likes to stop and talk to people, so he would get to know more about people. He would especially stop and talk if he saw a duel disk on their arm. He was always looking to figure out peoples strategy before he dueled them and he would even try to figure out people even if he knew that he wasn't going to duel them.

Arriving at the card shop it was a pretty big building with a few windows looking out so that people could see through to see what it looked like inside. They had card bored cutouts of some of the most powerful duel monsters you could get. In one of the windows was the dark magician, and in the other they had the blue eyes white dragon. While on the second floor of the building which was off limits their was exodia looking out the window. Every one knew that the second floor was were the shop owner lived so no one was allowed to go up stairs except for family and friends of the shop owner.

Opening the door you could smell the freshly opened cards feeling the room and the air conditioner blowing to keep the area cool. Travis would walk inside of the building like he had so many times before. Except this time was different he was alone, and had money of his own to buy a new pack of cards. All on his own travis would walk straight up to the counter and look in the display case. They had a few single cards on display, and the new pack that was just released last weak. Travis would look at the card shop owner who had walked over and asked if he could help him.

“id like to buy a pack of cards” travis would tell the card shop owner. The owner would open the back side of the display case and pull out a pack of cards and hand them to travis, as travis handed him his money for the pack. Travis would then walk over to one of the table and sit down opening his new pack of cards to see what he had gotten. Akihiron, Jellyfish, Two-Mouth Darkruler, Killer Needle, Guardian of the Labyrinth, B. Skull Dragon, and Exodia The Forbidden One. Wow he thought to himself what a pull to get Exodia on the first pack he opened. He didn't really have a use for Exodia with out they other pieces to it, but it would be great to trade for something that he could use to give his deck a real boost in power. Travis would then pull his deck out and take Claw Reacher out and replace it with the Jellyfish monster. For the Jellyfish had more power then the Claw Reacher, and as small of a difference that it made it would be a small step to a more powerful deck. Which was the goal, and now the goal was a little closer in sight now with the drawing of Exodia.

Travis would get up out of his set putting his deck back in the deck holder, and placing his new cards backwards from they others in it so he wouldn't get it mixed up with his deck. Travis would head back to his house now and then try and find someone that he could duel with to see just how much stronger his deck would get and then try and find someone that would trade something he needed or wanted for Exodia.
